Introducing: A LIMITED ISSUE RIFLE FROM THE REMINGTON CUSTOM SHOP: MY MODEL 547-T HB (.22LR CALIBER)
Article Stats: 43 photos, 30 Pages, 4152 WordsArticle Excerpt: Recently I purchased a Remington Custom Shop Model 547-T HB (.22 LR) rifle. The buyer of this special, low-production rifle expects to receive their new treasure in something more than a plain, brown cardboard box! The packaging must be something out of the ordinary! How about a special, well padded soft-case with not only the companies name, but the fact that it’s a product of the custom shop proudly displayed? Let’s add some pockets to hold the manual, tools, etc. That soft-case should be protected by a tough, plastic outer box that also displays the company name, and the fact that within resides a truly special arm! Of course it stands to reason a fellow will think: “Okay, yeah, sure, it would be nice to have that kind of gun, but who can afford it? I can’t skip paying the mortgage for the next 6 months after all! What does something like that cost?” Maybe, just maybe, the answer (at least in the case of a semi-custom rifle) can be summed up with: “Not as much as you think.” As I said, we were having this lively discussion on the web, and one fellow pointed out the Remington Custom Shop had made a limited run of semi-custom Remington 547-T HB rifles in .22 LR, and Buds Gun Shop had them for sale at a price that would not run one into serious debt!
